CFHU is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Kraft as Co-Chair of the 2018/19 Alumni-run online Madness fundraising sports tournaments with fellow alumnus, Lorne Persiko.
The just-launched CFHU’s 4th Annual Online Football Madness Tournament is now open for registration. We invite you to register today (until Sept. 6) for the regular football season at www.cfhumadness.com.
The proceeds raised annually from the three online madness sports tournaments (March Madness, Playoff Hockey Madness and Football Madness) support the Einstein Legacy Scholarships. These funds were set up by families across Canada who wished to honour the memory of their loved ones in a meaningful way. The funds enable Canadian students to study at Hebrew University for a summer, semester, one year abroad or a post-doctoral program.
Lorne and Mike met at Hebrew U in 1982 while attending the one-year program at the Rothberg International school and have remained good friends ever since. They are dedicated to helping Canadian students experience what for them was a life-changing year.
