Yesterday in Montreal, the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University hosted a luncheon to thank Andrew Harper, Montreal resident and Hebrew University attendee, for his major philanthropic gift of 1.3 million dollars, to create The Carole and Andrew Harper Research Complex in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Institute for Medical Research Israel- Canada (IMRIC).  The newly formed Complex will greatly help further discovery at IMRIC’s medical campus, still the only one of its kind in Israel.

Created and funded with support from Board and Chapter Members and friends, IMRIC is Israel’s largest and leading facility for biomedical research, clinical care, medical and health training and medical innovation. It brings together basic and biomedical researchers, pharmacy and pharmaceutical scientists, and clinicians who cover all areas of modern medicine and the health sciences, forming a research and clinical powerhouse.
