Reflections on my time at HU.

By Lisa Pullan, Vancouver

My program at Hebrew University in the summer of 1984 was a memorable and meaningful time. Meeting students from around the world, being exposed to the life in Israel and to the freedoms that we take for granted opened my eyes. Walking around campus and Jerusalem and experiencing that special feeling of being ‘home’ was profound.

It nurtured a desire in me to be involved in the community, which I have done for the last 30+ years. My youngest daughter is now living in Tel Aviv so it has given me the perfect reason to continue visiting. The changes in the country are incredible, but those same feelings that I felt on Mt Scopus all those years ago, still come flooding back every time.
