Scholarships

There are many scholarships available to Canadian students looking to study abroad at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Available for download is a booklet that provides information about various Canadian funding sources for students applying to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Students are advised to apply to as many scholarship sources as possible and to look for additional funding resources not covered in this brochure.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Academic Affairs of the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University of Jerusalem if you have any questions about the scholarship application process. Remember, late applications will not be accepted, so apply early. Download the information below.

Please note: The Asper National Scholarship is based on financial need. Those applying for the Asper National Scholarship will be required to provide personal/parental financial documents to support their application. All students applying for a scholarship that is not based on need should select the General CFHU Scholarship Application Form and include, if necessary, the name of the specific local fund they are applying to.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORMS

Deadline for the Asper National Scholarship:
First Friday in May (Full Year Program, Fall Semester, Summer Program applicants)
First Friday in November (Spring Semester applicants)

 

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Those applying to the Rothberg Intenational School for the One Year or Semester Program will need to fill out the Study Abroad Approval Form.

 

Rabin Scholarship The Rabin Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Peace and Tolerance is for students enrolled in an accredited doctoral or post doctoral program focusing on areas relating to the pursuit of peace and/or to the enhancement of peaceful forms of social life.
Persiko Scholarship The Bernard J. Perskio Merit Scholarship is for top Canadian students applying to the Hebrew University, rewarding achievement with a scholarship ranging between $5000 and $15,000 USD.
The Moise Amselem Scholarship

The Moise & Gladys Amselem Scholarship encourages a student of Sephardic culture to study at the Hebrew University. Click here for full details.
