In 2009, Canadian Friends of Hebrew University played a central role in the creation of the Jerusalem-based Institute for Medical Research Israel-Canada (IMRIC) and in its development ever since. On May 29, 2019, IMRIC celebrated its 10th anniversary at a special event in Jerusalem at which CFHU congratulated the IMRIC team by way of a video (included here). In it, CFHU National Chair Monette Malewski, National Board member Ronnie Appleby, Project Consultant and Stewardship Merle Goldman and CFHU President and CEO Rami Kleinmann pay tribute to IMRIC and the important work it has carried out over the past decade.
