CFHU is focused on developing collaborations between Canada and Israel in areas that are important to both countries, donors, partners, institutions and those in need of Financial support to perform cutting-edge work.
A large part of CFHU’s mission is to create partnerships between Canadian and Israeli researchers and faculty at leading educational institutions. These collaborations have led to countless breakthroughs in a number of areas including medicine, agriculture, science, and business. Beyond striving to make breakthroughs that impact the university’s global standing, these joint projects have applications that change the lives of people across the globe.
ONTARIO INSTITUTE FOR CANCER RESEARCH
OICR is an innovative cancer research and development institute dedicated to the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. CFHU has facilitated partnerships between ORCR and IMRIC to fund and support cancer research collaboration between Canada and Israel.
ALBERTA DIABETES INSTITUTE & THE UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA
Diabetes research partnership between Dr. James Shapiro, of the Alberta Diabetes Institute at the University of Alberta, and IMRIC’s Prof. Yuval Dor.
Facilitated research partnerships between IMRIC and the Goodman Cancer Centre at McGill University on therapy to fight Crohn’s as well as Neuroscience research collaborations with the Montreal Neurological Institute.
Helped create Business School and Neuroscience exchange programs between McMaster University and The Hebrew University. Also aided in the Autism Spectrum Disorder research collaboration with the Dr. Judah Koller Autism Center at The Hebrew University.
