HU honours Canada’s Joe and Wolf Lebovic at special ceremony

At the dedication of inscriptions on the Wall of Benefactors on Mount Scopus, Hebrew University leaders pay tribute to Joe and Wolf Lebovic for their lifetime of achievements and major philanthropic pursuits, including their generous support of the university. Following the ceremony, CFHU’s Robert Sarner spoke with Joe about his great affinity for Hebrew U.

Rector’s Report on the state of HU, present and future

As Hebrew University’s Rector, since 2017, Prof. Barak Medina is responsible for all academic matters including teaching, research and public activities of the faculty. In the Litwinsky Senate Hall on Mount Scopus, Prof. Medina presented plans to ensure HU’s continuing academic excellence and other related issues.

HU awards Canada’s Murray Palay an honorary fellowship

In recognition of his decades of service to Hebrew University, Winnipeg resident Murray Palay, former Chair of CFHU’s National Board, received an honorary fellowship at a special ceremony in the Handler Auditorium on Mount Scopus.

BOG delegates experience Jerusalem’s fabled food market up close

Special evening program takes BOG attendees on an entertaining and eye-opening tour of the city’s animated outdoor market, offering them a chance to savour local food and music accompanied by talks by some of HU’s top faculty members. Former US Ambassador Dan Shapiro, guest of honour and HU alum, addressed those in attendance.
