CFHU sponsored two projects at the Halbert Centre in July 2019
A joint Israeli-Canadian Research Workshop, led by Dr. Benny Porat from the Faculty of Law at Hebrew University and Prof. Gregg Gardner from the Faculty of Classical, Near Eastern and Religious Studies at the University of British Columbia, took place at HU between July 16-18, 2019. Faculty members and students from HU and UBC, and other universities and colleges in Israel, Canada, and USA attended the workshop which was titled Charity in Classical Jewish Law.
Eight students from HU’s School of Social Work took part in a course titled “Social Perspectives of Disability: Research, Policy and Practice” conducted at the University of British Columbia. The intensive course took place July 2 – 5, 2019.
