Please join us on July 17th, 2024 at Lebovic Golf Club for a day of golf and celebration in Ruth’s honour and in support of pancreatic cancer research.

We’re thrilled to bring back our shotgun start to kick off the day, followed by a dinner all together in the Lebovic clubhouse.

 

Our mission and objectives for this annual golf classic remain the same – to raise funds for an important cause and have a great time doing it!

 

Through our partnership with the Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University (CFHU) proceeds will foster further collaboration between Israeli and Ontario researchers and focus on developing effective patient-specific treatments to improve outcomes and new diagnostic methods for early detection.

Pancreatic cancer is on track to become the second leading cancer killer in North America. The statistics of this disease are staggering: 90% of Canadians will die within 5 years; 70% of those diagnosed will not survive past the first year due to the aggressive nature of this disease and limited treatment options. Sadly, research remains underfunded, overlooked and outpaced by other cancers. In March of last year, an international research collaboration discovered a breakthrough that could potentially offer patients life-extending treatment options - click here to read the report. The initial study was funded in part from monies raised through the Ruth Farb Golf Classic/CFHU partnership and proceeds from this event will continue to support this incredible research.
