The Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University and the Hebrew University are proud to announce the Honorary Fellowship for 2023 will be conferred upon Lillian Shiller of Montreal, Quebec. This honor is in recognition of her outstanding achievements as a steadfast passionate friend of the university since 1987.
Lillian was president of the Montreal Chapter of CFHU from 1993-98; the first Canadian woman to hold the position. She chaired three International Conferences – precursors to the BOG, and along with her adored and adoring husband Bryant, led many local events, encouraging others to be involved, and warmly opening their homes in Montreal and Florida to University Academics and the President.
A member of the Board of Governors at the Hebrew University since 1994, Lillian, and Bryant, regularly attend the annual BOG, meeting with their scholarship recipients – PhD and Graduate students in the Life Sciences (including IMRIC) as well as the Peter Brojde Center for Innovative Engineering and Computer Science – helping to mentor when asked and keeping in touch with many, long after graduation!
