The opening of the new academic year at the Hebrew University

The 2012-13 academic year began at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Close to 23,000 students are studying at the University this year, including 11,350 undergraduates, 6,900 graduates, and 2,500 doctoral students. Approximately 2,000 foreign students from 70 countries will study at the Rothberg International School this year, including students from Africa, Europe and the Far East. Albert Einstein came to the university to congratulate the students at the first day.
