Ottawa Dinner Honours Stephen Victor
In Ottawa, Immediate Past-President of CFHU Stephen Victor was the honoree for the annual JNF Negev dinner. At Stephen's initiation, proceeds of the dinner were directed to a joint JNF and Hebrew University of Jerusalem project - the revitalization of the Botanical Gardens.
The Montreal Chapter, Canadian Friends hosted a Donor Recognition Reception that was held in Montreal this past September to honour their major donors. Professor Yair Zaikovitch, world renowned professor of Jewish Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem spoke on "A Prophetic Vision of Peace in Jerusalem".
Louis Frieberg"Art and the Brain" was the theme of Canadian Friends’ 2006 Mission of Friendship to Israel. More than 40 Canadians joined us in Jerusalem and surrounding cities to visit galleries, attend lectures, explore the country, and take part in the festivities and activities of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s annual Board of Governors meeting.

The Toronto chapter of CFHU presented Bank with a person of distinction award at a tribute fundraising dinner. A Community Lecture, "You're Wearing That?" with Author Deborah Tannen followed.
