PROCEEDS

This year funds raised will support The Kelly Silverstein Graduate Scholarship at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Kelly Silverstein was an amazing young man; he combined his love for sports with his desire to make the world a better place. He gave of his time, of his heart and of himself by volunteering for several kids oriented charitable organization, and by coaching several of his children’s sports teams including his favorite sport - basketball. Kelly also placed high importance on the value of education and the pursuit of excellence. Unfortunately Kelly was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2007 and died shortly thereafter. It is only fitting that a new graduate student scholarship be named in his memory at the Hebrew University. This scholarship based on merit will enable a Canadian student to complete their 2 year graduate program while studying at Israel’s leading institution of higher learning.
