The Peak of Academic Excellence
The Hebrew University offers a variety of academic programs with a large selection of courses in English, Spanish, French, Russian and Hebrew. The school caters to undergraduate and graduate students and new immigrants, and provides general admission and evaluation services to students with qualifications from abroad who apply to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem has jumped 35 places in the Times Higher Education Supplement's world university rankings, entering the list of the world's top 100 universities. In its latest listings for 2008, the Hebrew University was ranked overall by The Times of London survey in 93rd place among the top 100 universities in the world, compared to 128th place in 2007.

Trauma and Resilience: Theory and Practice from the Israeli Experience

Since our first trip to Israel in 2003, we have been left with the desire to spend more time in the country. We decided that studying in Jerusalem would be a great way to gain the experience we wanted and so chose to attend the one-year program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Ask anyone and they will tell you, Israel is different. That, however, may be the understatement of the century. Whether it be the cab driver who screams at the afternoon traffic or the University Professor in the back seat of the same taxi also screaming at the traffic, it is safe to say that Israel is unlike anywhere I have ever been in the world.
The RIS is pleased to announce the opening of a new, innovative, two-year M.A. program in Community Leadership and Philanthropic Studies in February 2007. This M.A. program is offered in conjunction with The Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

A major new construction on the Hebrew University’s flagship campus, will allow for continued growth and achievement. A state-of-the-art dormitory complex of some 1500 beds and 12 buildings is planned.
