Congratulations to Honourary Co-Chairmen Ralph Halbert and Lionel Schipper and Dinner Co-Chairmen Ronnie Appleby and Nathan Lindenberg and their committee for an outstanding Gala Tribute Dinner on Thursday May 22nd honouring Isadore Sharp, Founder & CEO Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Under their expert guidance and leadership four million dollars was raised toward the newly created endowed Isadore Sharp Einstein Doctoral Scholarships providing the University's most promising students with financial support and security they need to succeed.

Eight hundred people were in attendance at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel to celebrate Issy's vision and commitment to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Entertainment during the evening included Grammy Award-Winning violinist Miri Ben Ari originally from Israel; a heartwarming and humourous Sharp family tribute video complete with a visit from Albert Einstein and the evening's highlight was the presentation of the prestigious Scopus Award to Isadore Sharp, the highest honour that Friends of the Hebrew University can confer. Previous Scopus Award recipients in attendance were the Honourable Bob Rae and Tony & Elizabeth Comper.
