“Beyond my family and friends, the development of the Prostate Centre and the department of urologic sciences at UBC has brought me the most satisfaction and pride,” says Larry. “The excellence of my colleagues provides the best of health care, education, and research to our communities, and I hope that we will continue to build programs of excellence for years to come.”

A common vision of improved men’s health has brought together these well-respected institutions, setting the foundation for future collaborations on prostate research and men’s health issues.

“One of the keys to success is developing partnerships, such as the fusion of interests between UBC, Vancouver Coastal Health, and CFHU,” says Larry. “The scientists in our centre are keen to collaborate with their counterparts in Jerusalem. The funds we raise at this special event will facilitate the development of scientific infrastructure at Hebrew U and will help us promote the cause of men’s health in the global community through healthcare delivery, community outreach, education, and research.”
