Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Waze Uri Levine Honours Einstein at the 3rd Annual Einstein Gala in Support of the Einstein Archive and Visitor Centre

Randy Masters, Karen Simpson-Radomski, Perri Kirshenblatt, Uri Levine and Sara GottliebTORONTO, ON May 25, 2017 - Entrepreneur and Waze co-founder Uri Levine attended a gala in Toronto last night in support of the Einstein Legacy Project. The 3rd Annual Einstein Gala featured a panel addressing the importance of Einstein, the contributions of his legacy and the continued relevance and application of his work today. Levine spoke to the crowd about the importance of technology and the spirit of innovation.

Levine joined distinguished panelists Professor Amnon Ginati, Head of Telecommunication and Integrated Applications, European Space Agency and Abir Nassee, Head of The Artists and Merchants Association of the Old City of Jerusalem. The panel was moderated by Michal Divon, Journalist, Presenter, and I-24 News Anchor. Guests were treated to a musical performance by Cantor Eric Moses & The Ruach Singers, followed by closing remarks from Ambassador Ido Aharoni. Gala Chairs included Karen Simpson-Radomski, Sara Gottlieb, Perri Kirshenblatt, Randy Masters and Ira Lindenberg.

The evening celebrated the Einstein Legacy Project's various initiatives, including the world's first 3D-printed book Genius: 100 Visions of the Future, which includes contributions from 100 of the greatest icons and influencers of our time. Funds raised from this year’s gala go toward the development of the world’s first Archive and Visitors centre dedicated to Albert Einstein.

The Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University launched the Einstein Legacy Project in honour of the 100-year anniversary of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. 

"Albert Einstein was one of the greatest minds of our time and we are thrilled to support the establishment of The Einstein Archive and Visitors Centre,” commented Rami Kleinmann, President & CEO, Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University. "The gala is a key milestone for the Einstein Legacy Project to celebrate his legacy and a giant step forward for the world to learn more about him."

This celebration marks the approach of the 100 day countdown towards the Dinner of the Century, a star-studded event that will bring together our Genius contributors, along with young Einsteins and dignitaries from around the world. The dinner will represent one of the greatest gatherings of Nobel laureates, intellectuals, artists and scientists of our time, and promises to inspire a new generation of creative thinkers. The Dinner will take place on Sunday, September 10th, 2017, in Montreal, Canada.
