March 2, 2008 - The Youth Science Center of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem hosted children from Sderot for a day of science fun events on the Edmond J. Safra Campus of the university. The day included experiences involving chemistry, emergency medicine, weather forecasting and astronomy. The activity was led by graduate students at the university. The Youth Science Center said they hoped that this kind of event will be a precedent for more visits by students from Sderot, giving them a brief respite from the everyday pressures which they experience. The special day was initiated by the Youth Science Center with financial support from the National Instruments Company.
