Happy Chanukah from CFHU

Naama Hecht, Glocal student
Naama is 26 years old and was born in Israel in a Yishuv in the North. From the ages of 9 to 14 she lived in New Zealand. She has a bachelor's degree from the Hebrew University in Asian Studies and International Relations and is currently completing a master's in Glocal.

Why Hebrew U?
"The Glocal program, unique to Hebrew University, offers an incredible combination between theory and practice and provides me with an opportunity to enjoy lecturers from many different fields."

What are you studying?
"After traveling in a poor area of China, I became deeply affected when I learned about the horrors of child trafficking. I'm studying to better understand child exploitation and learn ways to combat it, whether through practice, research or a combination of both. "

What is your favorite holiday memory?
"My parents used to hide dreidels around the house filled with chocolate and we used to search for them with my siblings."

What was a miracle that happened to you this year?
"I got to take part in a study abroad program to study Chinese at the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. In Taiwan there is a beautiful lantern lighting festival, where over 400 lanterns are released at the same time filled with written wishes for the New Year. I managed to get one of the last tickets and take part in this amazing experience.
