Vancouver was the place to be as friends of CFHU gathered for the inaugural hockey game with alumnus Daniel Wosk on the ice at Kerrisdale Arena on March 31st, in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Playoff Hockey Madness Online Tournament run by the National Alumni in support of the Einstein Legacy Student Scholarship Funds.

Vancouver Hockey Game - March 31, 2016

Tournament Organizer, Daniel Wosk said the following about the event:

When I first heard of this online tournament, I saw it as the tip of an iceberg. I figured I’m not the only Vancouverite who loves hockey, has an affiliation with Hebrew University, is passionate about Israel or regularly signs up for random hockey pools. So I booked a rink and sent the invitations for a game that will not soon be forgotten. Two teams quickly developed as players registered for the online tournament by making their donations to CFHU. Sure enough it was a huge success! People had a great time and in addition they have a chance to win some prize money. Together, we contributed to student scholarships while expanding our local network. Thank you to everyone who participated in this inaugural event and helped to put the ‘fun’ in fundraiser! I strongly encourage more games like this to take place across the country. After all, it feels good to make a difference doing something you love.”
