Toronto Chapter

For over 62 years, the Toronto Chapter has been fulfilling its mission to develop an awareness of the Hebrew University, to financially support the University and to encourage involvement in our many programs and projects. Because of the dedication of so many, we have been able to support the Hebrew University as it strives to meet the ever-increasing needs of its students and programs.

Our Board of Directors annually plans many interesting lectures, programs and activities for the community and welcomes your input and involvement. For more information please contact us.

Alumni & Friends

For the past 21 years the Toronto Alumni & Friends has attracted young people in the Toronto Jewish community to become advocates of the Hebrew University’s programs, research initiatives and the State of Israel. Toronto Alumni & Friends activities include an array of educational community lectures relating to Israel and Judaism, cultural and social events and outreach to local alumni. The Family Fun Day & March Madness Tournament events held annually raise funds and awareness for Pediatric Research at the Hebrew University. Over the years funds have also been raised for Alzheimer research and scholarships for the Rothberg International School and the establishment of an exchange program in Haemtology research between the University of Toronto and Hebrew U. The Alumni & Friends Award of Excellence has recognized the outstanding achievements and contributions of young community leaders in the area of business, science and the arts. A unique parent educational program series has recently been developed in conjunction with the Melton Centre for Jewish Education that will debut this fall.
