The Ottawa chapter is committed to raising the profile of the Hebrew University in the Ottawa community by highlighting the exceptional activities, programs and research at the University, to offering high calibre educational programs that emphasize the excellence of the University, to recruiting qualified Canadian students who might wish to participate in academic programs at the Rothberg International School and to raising funds to support the University in all areas.
Hebrew University’s Mount Scopus Botanical Garden Reopens to Public After Two-Year Restoration
The Botanical Garden on the Mount Scopus campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be formally reopened to the public at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, marking the completion of a restoration and development project that has been underway for the past two years.

As the recipient of the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University Scholarship, Naomi arrived in Israel in August 2009 and started right away on the Summer Ulpan. She experienced Israeli Shabbatons, hiked a nature reserve, biked in the mountains, and then settled into her classes at the Rothberg International School in Environmental Biotechnology.
